Dignity - We support our residents to make the choice to live the lifestyle they want About The Role: As a member of our General Service team, you will deliver a high standard of coffee, food and care service within our residential aged care home. You will work with the team to ensure that residents and their families receive the highest quality experience every time. You will be responsible for basic food and hot drink preparation within our Pearl cafe, giving caring and personalised service to our residents, families and visitors and also working within our housekeeping and laundry team. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety and the ability to contribute to team success by being a true all rounder. In this role, you will be responsible for: Cafe and Food Service operations, including: - Set up and preparation for the day's trade.
- Preparation of hot beverages, finesse with coffee is a must
- Check and replenish stock
- Take and prepare orders for customers
- Manage the preparation of orders to minimise wait time
- Present all items with a level of finesse and in line with Chef’s instructions.
- Cleaning, wipe down tables and clear dirty plates and trays.
- Close down at end of day
- Be able to work around people, be polite and accepting of resident input
Laundry and Housekeeping operations: Providing cleaning services around the Aged Crae Facility's common areas and in resident rooms Safe and effective use of chemicals Participation in established infection control program. Kind, caring and respectful interactions with residents about their preferences for care and service delivery. Providing laundry services according to The Shoreline’s Laundry Procedures for a full-scale commercial laundry including linen and personal clothing of residents
About Us: The Shoreline is a luxury aged care facility on the Mid North Coast of NSW. The precinct boasts a fresh, resort-like atmosphere and a focus on high quality care of our aged residents and building a community in the superb beach side location where we live and work. In operation for roughly 3 years, The Shoreline is retirement living and premium residential aged care all packaged in to one breathtaking coastal site. The care facility is located within the village of luxury units and villas and is a stone’s throw away from a major shopping centre, beautiful beaches, and restaurants. About You: As someone with a proven track record of compassion, you will demonstrate kindness and empathy with the elderly and other diverse individuals. You will possess an intuitive responsiveness to aged care residents' individual wants and needs, whilst maintaining calm, composed and optimistic when faced with stressful or high pressure situations. To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and attributes: - Demonstrated empathy with and commitment to the care of older people
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience in delivering exceptional customer centred service outcomes
- Ability to demonstrate kindness and empathy across all channels and model behaviours that align with the Shoreline's vison and CREED
- Understanding of the ageing process and a commitment to advocate for older people in residential care and/or home care.
- Police check clearance; and
- Up-to-date vaccination as required by legislation or industry best practice from time to time.
